As part of Road Safety Month–2026, and in accordance with the directions of the District Transport Department, Simdega, a Road Safety Awareness Program was successfully organized today at Orga Chowk in Basjor Block by WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation. The program aimed to sensitize citizens, vehicle drivers, and pedestrians about the importance of road safety and encourage disciplined and responsible traffic behavior.
The highlight of the program was the use of street plays (Nukkad Natak) and song–music performances to communicate crucial road safety messages in a simple, engaging, and impactful manner. Through lively performances, the artists emphasized the importance of wearing helmets, avoiding over-speeding, not driving under the influence of alcohol, and strictly following traffic rules. The powerful storytelling and music compelled passersby and drivers to stop, watch, and reflect on their own road behavior.
The awareness program was led by the Founder of WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation, Jitendra Kumar Verma, whose leadership and guidance ensured the smooth and effective execution of the event. Inspired by the performances and messages, many local citizens and vehicle drivers took a pledge to follow traffic rules and wear helmets while riding two-wheelers.
Artists from Lohardaga, Ramgarh, Ranchi, and Simdega participated in the program, and their energetic and meaningful performances made the event even more impactful.
Conducted under the guidance of the District Transport Department, Simdega, this joint initiative with WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation was completed peacefully and successfully. The program significantly strengthened awareness, discipline, and a sense of social responsibility toward road safety in the Basjor area.
