As part of Road Safety Month–2026, WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation organized a comprehensive Road Safety Awareness Program at Simdega Market and the Tempo Stand area, two of the most crowded and prominent public locations in the district. The program witnessed active participation from a large number of citizens, vehicle drivers, tempo drivers, shopkeepers, passengers, and pedestrians, reflecting strong public engagement with road safety initiatives.
The primary objective of the program was to raise awareness about traffic rules and encourage safe, disciplined, and responsible driving behavior to prevent road accidents. During the awareness drive, participants were informed about several critical road safety measures through interactive public engagement. Special emphasis was laid on the mandatory use of helmets, the importance of wearing seat belts, avoiding driving under the influence of alcohol, following prescribed speed limits, and respecting traffic signals and road signs. Two-wheeler riders were particularly sensitized about the life-saving importance of wearing helmets.
The program was led by the Founder of WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation, Jitendra Kumar Verma, whose guidance and active involvement ensured the smooth, disciplined, and effective execution of the event. Under his leadership, the awareness activities were carried out in an organized manner, enabling direct interaction with the public. A large number of people present at Simdega Market also took a pledge to follow traffic rules and wear helmets while riding two-wheelers, further strengthening the impact of the program.
The joint efforts of the District Transport Department, Simdega, and WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation resulted in the peaceful and successful completion of the awareness program. The initiative significantly contributed to strengthening public awareness, traffic discipline, and a sense of social responsibility toward road safety in the Simdega Market and Tempo Stand areas.
