Under Road Safety Month–2026, the District Transport Department, Simdega has been conducting continuous awareness initiatives to prevent road accidents and enhance public understanding of traffic rules. In this sequence, a Road Safety Awareness Program was organized today at Bano Chowk and Hatinghore area** by WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation, as per the directions and guidance of the District Transport Department, Simdega.

The primary objective of the program was to sensitize common citizens, vehicle drivers, youth, and pedestrians toward safe, disciplined, and responsible traffic behavior. Direct interaction was established with people present at public places, and detailed information was shared on various critical aspects of road safety.

Through street plays and interactive public performances, effective messages were delivered on the mandatory use of helmets and seat belts, the harmful consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol, adherence to prescribed speed limits, respect for traffic signals and road signs, and essential precautions required to prevent road accidents. The use of local language and simple presentation styles enabled people to easily connect with the messages and understand the seriousness of road safety in their daily lives.
