With the objective of improving women’s health and promoting menstrual hygiene at the grassroots level, WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation organized a Sanitary Pad Distribution Program in Kedli village, under Chhata Panchayat of Karra Block, Khunti district. The program was conducted with the support of Panchayat Mahila Mitra Dashmi Bada, through whose cooperation 50 women from the village were provided with sanitary pads.
During the program, women were sensitized about the fact that menstruation is a natural biological process and maintaining proper hygiene during this period is essential for a healthy life. They were informed that the use of sanitary pads enables safe and hygienic menstrual management, which helps prevent infections and various health-related complications. The session encouraged open discussion, helping to break long-standing taboos and misconceptions associated with menstruation.
This initiative not only enhanced awareness about menstrual hygiene but also strengthened the self-respect, confidence, and dignity of the participating women. By ensuring access to basic menstrual care products, the program contributed to empowering women to take better control of their health and well-being.
WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation remains continuously committed to working for the health, dignity, and empowerment of rural women. Through such people-centric initiatives, the Foundation strives to bring positive and sustainable change in society and will continue to implement similar programs in the future to support women’s rights, health, and holistic development.
