A Thematic Udyam Camp on PMFME & MSME Entrepreneurship Awareness was successfully organized on 26 June 2025 at Kinkel Panchayat Bhavan, Kersai Block, Simdega, under the District Industries Centre (DIC), Simdega, JIIDCO, and the World Bank-supported RAMP Programme. The event empowered rural youth, women, and Self-Help Groups with entrepreneurship knowledge, government schemes, and business development opportunities while facilitating on-the-spot UDYAM registrations.
The event was graced by several distinguished dignitaries, including Block Development Officer Mr. Gyanmani Ekka, Circle Officer Mr. Devkant Singh, Mukhiya Mrs. Basanti Lakra, MSME Representative and EODB Manager Mr. Salman Khursheed, Project Manager Mr. Poonam Lakra, Chairperson Mrs. Sunita Ekka, Ward Member Mrs. Gloria Tirkey, Mr. Salom Kujur, Mr. Ravi Bilung, Mrs. Lalita Devi, Mrs. Roshni Kujur, and other respected representatives of the Panchayat and local community.
Representing WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation, Mr. Jitendra Kumar Verma addressed the participants and provided valuable guidance on entrepreneurship development, self-employment opportunities, skill development, and access to various government support schemes. He encouraged rural youth, women, and members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to utilize available resources and government initiatives to establish sustainable enterprises and achieve economic self-reliance.
The camp witnessed the enthusiastic participation of approximately 105 participants, reflecting the growing interest in entrepreneurship among rural communities. A major achievement of the programme was the successful on-the-spot UDYAM Registration of 20 entrepreneurs, enabling them to become part of the formal MSME ecosystem and access various government benefits and financial support mechanisms.
Participants received detailed information about the PMFME (Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises) Scheme, MSME schemes, business planning and management, financial literacy, branding and marketing strategies, digital business opportunities, and government assistance programmes designed to support small enterprises and startups. Experts also explained the procedures for accessing institutional credit, subsidies, and capacity-building initiatives available through different government agencies.
The programme served as an important platform for creating awareness about entrepreneurship as a viable career option and for motivating rural communities to establish local enterprises. By connecting aspiring entrepreneurs with government schemes and technical guidance, the initiative contributed to the broader vision of employment generation, economic empowerment, and sustainable rural development.
WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation remains committed to promoting entrepreneurship, skill development, and livelihood enhancement among rural youth and women. The Foundation will continue collaborating with government departments and development partners to organize similar awareness and capacity-building programmes that empower communities and strengthen the local economy.
