As part of its ongoing commitment to women’s rights and community development, WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation conducted an extensive women violence awareness initiative in multiple villages of Karra Block. The campaign aimed to help rural women recognize different forms of violence and understand that abuse is not limited to physical harm alone, but also includes emotional, mental, economic, and social exploitation.
Through small group meetings and open community dialogues, women and adolescent girls were encouraged to speak freely about their concerns and experiences. The sessions emphasized that tolerating violence is not a solution and that every woman has the right to live with dignity, safety, and respect. Participants were informed about the importance of seeking help at the right time and standing up against injustice with confidence.
Panchayat-level Mahila Mitras played a crucial role in the success of the campaign. Preeti Kashyap, Dasmi Barra, and Jayashinta Guriya actively visited villages and engaged directly with women, creating a supportive and trustworthy environment. They shared vital information related to women helpline numbers, legal support mechanisms, Panchayat-level assistance, and administrative resources available during emergencies.
The campaign witnessed strong participation and a positive response from the community. Many women expressed that it was the first time they felt heard and supported on such sensitive issues. The initiative helped build self-confidence among women and encouraged collective action toward creating safer communities.
This awareness drive stands as a meaningful step toward fostering equality, safety, and empowerment at the grassroots level. WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation remains dedicated to strengthening women’s voices, promoting gender justice, and driving long-term social change in rural areas.
In a continued effort to promote women’s safety and empowerment, WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation organized a Women Violence Awareness Campaign across several villages of Dumargadi, Chhata, and Karra Panchayats under Karra Block, Khunti District. The initiative focused on awareness, confidence-building, and access to support systems for rural women and adolescent girls.
